George Lucas is working on something big, for Star Wars, but not in the way you might expect.
George Lucas, the man famous for the creation of the Star Wars Movie sagas, told the LA Times last Tuesday, that he has a mastermind in the works, and it’s all about Star Wars, on Tv.
He stressed, that he has no interest in exploring any of the Skywalker’s, but he plans on having the focus, (and action packed plots) paying particular attention to those lovable characters who were in the Star Wars movies. Remember all those characters that he so cleverly made come to life, with emotion, and facial expressions, and common human expressions that made us relate to them? And, despite the fact they were hideous looking at first, when you got to know them, you grew to adore them and hope to see them again. Those characters who made his movies take on a life of it's own, will be coming back, and we get to see what their life was really like.
He didn’t want to reveal too much, so we’ll have to wait and see, but he did mention that the “life of robots" will be basically what it’s all about.
His film company, Lucasfilm Animation also has been working on another television series, which is a computer-animate based on Star Wars, ‘The Clone Years’.
George Lucas doesn’t officially have a Network Contract with anyone, as everything is still in the works, and there’s some things that need ironing out. Like the fact that the Skywalker’s won’t be in it, and the time slots at the Networks, might not hold the desired length. But with Star Wars grossing 4.3 Billion world wide, and the huge fan base of Star Wars, and the successful Star Wars Conventions out there, there’s no denying that it will be a success, and George’s animated series is designed to set the frame work up for the character’s in the television series. There may even be a live action show! The sky’s the limit for George, and no doubt he’ll get to where he’s going on that!
Cool stuff.
Starwars is a long time favorite of most of us, and it appeals to all ages.
Never missed a film. Never plan to!
Peace and Love
to George!
