Star Trek cast is shaping up to quite the crew! Just My Luck’s Star Chris Pine, will play Captain Kirk.

The filming starts this November for the feature film of Star Trek! The cast is shaping up into quite a line of hot Hollywood Celebs.
Facts about the story line are being revealed in crumbs and nibbles, as J.J. Abrams is also a great publicist among his many talents.
What has been revealed?
For one thing, Star Trek is going to start back in the days when Spock and Kirk were in the academy together. Young stars, Chris Pine (from Just My Luck), will play the young Captain James T. Kirk, and that young Zachary Quinto (The villain Sylar from Heros), and Leonard Nemo will play Spock. It’s unconfirmed at this point if William Shatner will be appearing as Captain Kirk in the feature.
Who else signed on?
Bones— (Medical Officer McCoy)—Karl Urban (from Lord of the Rings, playing Eomer)
Nemo-- the Romulan bad boy-- Eric Bana (The Australian actor who starred as the Hulk, and was in Speilburg's Munich.)
Scotty-- Simon Peg (Mission Impossible III)
Sulu— John Cho (Tv appearances, Ugly Betty, and about 50 movies)
Uhura— Zoe Saldana (Star of new movie Avatar)
Chekov— Anton Yelchin (Russian Actor, Hearts of Atlantis 2001)
The movie is said to be coming out on Christmas Day, 2008!

Thanks for the update! I'm very much looking forward to this next installment though I'm always nervous when they introduce new actors for such well known characters. Here's hoping they get it right and "make it so" good that it will "engage" the audience!

Ben.Thanks for reading my article Ben. I think the cast they have lined up so far, are pretty cool actors, and I think they'll do great! I just hope they have William Shatner in there somewhere, they are saying that they don't want to just toss him in without a valid reason, for fear of spoiling the plot. But actually not having him would be a big disappointment! I haven't heard anything about what the Klingons will be up to, or if they will focus on them. I hope they don't forget to put them in, they certainly were there in the beginning. Can't have a Treky movie without a Klingon.
