The casting call for Star Trek lured them out of the wood work last Saturday in Burbank Calf. Star Trek held their extras casting session in LA, and to keep the hype down to a minimum they used a code name in their advertising which was Corporate Headquarters, instead of the usual Star Trek title. The casting link is located at the bottom of this article.
They were looking for people with odd characteristics, such as large foreheads, elongated chins, buggy eyes, wide spaced eyes, long necks, odd shaped or big ears, twins, triplets. People who were willing to have their eyebrows shaved in a Vulcan upside down V shape. They also were looking for thin athletic types, who were fit to play cadets, and all were asked to show up with photos of them in skin tight clothes. Loads of people showed up for the casting, most of them hopeful Trekies, who found out about the casting through various Star Trek Fan Sites.
I did a little digging and found the official Star Trek Casting Site, and if you are interested in going to LA, and becoming part of the crew, then check out this link at the Corporate Headquarters Site. Theres a link on the page where you can email them your photo, but please make sure you are allowed to work in the USA , and are planning to be in LA for several months before you jump to it.
