Johnny Depp's not a guy you hear much about in Celeb news, probably his low profiled life, far from Hollywood Glam, residing in France, has much to do with that, but when he does occasionally have his name pass by a few press desks, it's usually something worth reading about.
Johnny, whose little daughter, Lily-Rose had taken ill during the filming of his movie The Demon Barber of Fleet Street last March in England caused quite a scare in Johnny and his dedicated better half Vanessa Paradis's personal lives. According to reports in England , his little girl had stepped on a nail before leaving France , and the abrasion wasn't noticed until she had taken weak spells, as her kidneys began to fail during their stay in London . Eight year old Lily-Rose was treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital in England , and the treatments thankfully were successful.
As Johnny Depp's way of showing his gratitude he privately donated $2 million Dollars to Great Ormond Street Hospital on January 14 th of this year. He also reportedly had his Captain Jack Sparrow Costume, from Pirates of the Caribbean flown in from Hollywood last November, and spent four hours of an afternoon reading story books to the sick children of Great Ormond Street Hospital . As an added bonus he also gave tickets to his London Premire of Sweeny Todd to the Doctors and Nurses who cared for his baby girl. Johnny reportedly is very happy that his lil one recovered so beautifully, and his donation wasn't an attempt at publicity, but a sincere gesture, but as usual Johnny touches our hearts, no matter where he roams.
Johnny Depp's newest film, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, playing the notorious Sweeny Todd is playing now in theatres. So, you know, go see it.

What a cutie, but more importantly what a good daddy.Hi Teresa, Thanks for stopping by. I love Johnny Depp to, he isn't just an actor, he has that ability to transform into a character, not vice versa, which makes his performance so unique. Johnny certainly has a generous and caring heart, it's good to see he has fans out there that really appreciate him for more than just an actor, but also a great daddy, and person. Sacreeta
