That's right, running about, playing tricks.
And that would be the Leprechauns, they'll say.

The Leprechaun tells Tom where the pot o'gold is buried, and Tom marks the spot with a a red garter. St. Patrick's Day, In The Morning.
Saving the best for last. I truly believe this to be the best Saint Patrick's Day book. This one is a soo cute, and so well told, and really brings you back, or to, Ireland.

This story is about a little boy in Ireland, Jamie, the youngest in a huge family. Jamie wakes up early on Saint Patrick's Day, and is determined to prove his family wrong. You see, he isn't allowed to join in the Saint Patrick's Day March, which all the villagers traditionally do. They march up the grand Acorn Hill, and it's too far a walk for the smaller ones, so it's a tradition you need to grow into. With his trusty dog Nel, and his tin whistle, Jamie sets off, and by the end of the day many surprises bestow on his family. Jamie even surprises himself.
Such a cute book.
